Aside from having the Xbox and the new Windows Phone 7 most of their innovation in platform experiences have had little to no innovation

Who knows? To be honest I mean. Facebook is the dominate social platform, second to none, only to be followed by Twitter, LinkedIn, and whatever members remain in Ning’s amalgamation of social networks which are basically “Super” Groups with Facebook groups appended to them. Of course there is Google+ coming to the forefront with all the Facebook like features but spread across the Google suite of empirical services that have made the internet as organized as it would seem to be today, though it’s not as fun when your friends arent around, but that is really about to change as adoption increases but what about Microsoft?

Aside from having the Xbox and the new Windows Phone 7 most of their innovation in platform experiences have had little to no innovation. Windows Operating system that will never not be rebelled against by Linux and Mac buffs (Only being purchased by Enterprise or consumers who don’t know better), The Live (Hotmail, MSN) service which is usually full of the same people who buy into Microsoft Office, Microsoft Advertising, and Messenger folk are all examples of technologies that have been stagnant for long enough to allow other companies (particularly Web application based companies) to pick up on Microsoft’s slack, but this is nothing new, right?

Besides Windows, Microsoft has been way better at purchasing a company’s technology rather than creating technology beginning with Hotmail which was absorbed into MSN which later changed its name to the artist formerly known as ‘Live’. Now with the purchase of Skype (which does 95% percent of the same thing as Live Messenger) they have acquired a lot of patents from the original video chat client. Even more recently, Facebook partnered with Skype (owned by Microsoft) to provide video chat to its booming social platform.
Facebook already being the dominant advertising publisher for Microsoft after their $100 million partnership, integrating Microsoft’s Bing search into the social network and vice versa (integrating the social network into the Bing search engine) would only acquire access to of the “PC” users who couldn’t originally conceive having all of your computing activities become social al a social Microsoft Onenote or Microsoft Sharepoint with Facebook connect integration. This would also give MSNBC incentive to further promote comments from users of Facebook over Twitter-ers while further advertising anything and everything in its path with your Facebook profile picture right next to it. LIKE!

Why would Microsoft try to partner with Facebook even further if not acquire them? Google. Almost every product Microsoft markets, Google has a cheaper alternative. Products Google has is very hard to duplicate for Microsoft for some reason so when Google+ comes to the forefront it will not be in any best interest for Microsoft to create their own social platform or recreate Live again. It would be better for them to acquire Facebook keep the name. merge XBLA, Live, Skype, and Facebook. Along with the Application marketplace, mobile Platform. Or they could stay independent companies and continue to give each other 1 dollar while Google takes $1 from both. Do the math. It doesn’t add up for either.

In any event this has caused a halt in my posting of articles. This WILL change and I figures (yes figures) the best way for be to bring it back is with a couple of prediction videos of what industry leaders thought would be the lifestyle of civiliztion in the turn of the century. It will peak your interest the type of ideas that have actually come to fluition as well as how recently these capabilities were not a reality. Enjoy this post and check back for more soon.

As you may have read from my recent post, I commented on how Google should offer free promotional give aways to keep members interested and build good common grounds with it’s users, which I admit Google does but just not for ME. Well that has all changed, because either someone has read my post or it’s major coincidence but in either case I have just received an invitation to use Google Voice. Yep You heard yourself reading correctly. Google Voice. This is different from Google Voice chat which is already available through Google Talk which is their instant messenging service and software.

What is Google Voice then? (you may be asking you computer screen wishing is could talk back)
Well defined by Wikipedia…

Google Voice (formerly GrandCentral) is a free Google-owned[1] Internet service that uses voice over internet protocol (VoIP)[2] to link customers’ phone numbers together.[3] GrandCentral was relaunched as Google Voice on March 11, 2009 with new features, including voicemail transcriptions and SMS managing.

Here is a parody video which explain what Grand Central allowed you to do. No REALLY

And this is GrandCentral with our beloved Google wrapped around it like a warm Snuggie.

I have to admit. I haven’t been this excited for a Google technology since google first released the search engine… well I’ll say Google Docs… then again there is Chrome… In either case, Its very evident how ingenious and methodical Google’s ability to infiltrate already present infrastructures through out various industries core responsibilities and place a seed to spawn a whole new way of interfacing with it from a user standpoint.

Also, if you notice through this industry changing experience, Google’s mentality about offering services to individuals in the first place. It’s rare to see Google partner with other organizations unless there ultimate goal is unified organization and cooperation of technology. There were complaints of having to manage a new number instead of working off of your current number. The issue is limitation. If Google were to hypothetically partner with a telecommunications company like Verizon, SBC Global, Comcast, there wouldn’t be a free beta, only paid customers would be able to use it, restrictions or collaborative technology would exist due to fear of stealing competing R&D departments ideas. It’s the narrow mindedness of captialism without foresight. If the telcos did allow for an open and compatible service to there already working infrastructure Google would become the service provide and they would only be the hardware connection losing a majority of its power.

So I’m an adamant Google mail user. More so I believe that when it comes to internet communication Google is not only at the fore front of efficient usability but they are pretty much God’s gift to electronic mail. They offer a spam filter that exceeds Yahoo! mail by leaps and bounds and Microsoft’s Hot-live-MSN thing that they are passing off as an email service.

But even in saying this I will agree that they are not Perfect because sometimes I do get awkward messages from shady confidence scheme like people every once in a while. We all should know of the Nigerian Prince who has left us $85,000,000 dollars and needs our personal information in oreder to send us all this money as soon as possible.(Yeah Right!!!). But what about this one. Today I received an email from some big wigs in the Google UK offices who seems to want to give me money.

This is obviously not true because its so plain and they want me to reply-to an MSN email address. But none the less this has gotten me the thinking:) Google should have a promotional event where they just give away some crap to us as Google user’s. I know this is asinine because the Google already offers practically every service in their repertoire for absolutely nothing i.e. FREE, but then again not really.

At the end of the day we are guinea pigs and most of Google is made up of mathematicians and scientist. They love to have us use their software for free find bugs, report glitches, and make suggestions so they can improve and make it better. Again most of these guys are scientist. Notoriety is key although money is very gratifying.

Google makes money through a masquerade of of revenue streams none of which comes from the average Google service user, but if we have to play guinea pig at least we can get a treat for it. It doesn’t even have to be monetary. I know I’d take one of these Google branded servers.

Hello to all that read this. i am a technology enthusiast with a background in Microsoft technologies, networking implementations, Linux communities and more. Pretty much I am every tech guy that has a pure interest in computers which surpass the basic need to find a job. I really like technology. In saying this I believe that whether I work for a multi-million dollar company which I have technically done or work at a retail store like Best Buy, my point is a valid one and if it is overlooked then it is at fault of Sony and the core linux distribution developers so on with another rant from another techy.

If you have any clue about computers and are aware of the current and future advancements of gaming industry, then you are also aware that Sony’s Playstation isn’t doing so well. Alot of people that have a Playstation 3 have no idea that they are in a currently losing battle with both Microsoft and Nintendo. This is highly unfortunate because they do not know that Sparta(Sony) is in a downhill battle with the Persian Army(Microsoft) which is slowly taking it’s toll on the once dominant gaming platform. The sad thing is that instead of Sony openly admitting there flaws and fighting to improve on there system, they(Sony) rather be naive and and in a state of denial as if they are still the top dogs like they were back in 2002. This is going to be there downfall.

I try to defend Playstation in every way by saying the same stuff that Sony says, “Give it time”. Unlike most I fully understand that the Playstation is full of completely new hardware that has barely been touched by development teams until now in comparison to the XBOX which is mostly made of parts that have been around for years. Multiple core processing is not new but Multi core cell processing is Neo specifically for the graphic and simulation design industry. What I am getting at is developers are used to the hardware inside the XBOX so it doesnt take as much to push out a new game for them in comparison to the Cell processor and bluray disc which has barely been tested. And when I mean tested I dont mean basic game testing in a closed environment, I mean consumer testing. I mean where every possible thing that can go wrong has gone wrong which makes the system stronger for it. XBOX has already proven hardware, PS3 has yet to be proven hardware. When I mean yet to be proven I mean just that. All looks good in the labs when one is developing this technology and doing benchmark testing but once it goes out in the field thats when it really gets tested.

What does this have to do with Linux? The same thing as it has to do with the lack lusting gaming experience people get from the PS3 platform. In order to have a great experience you have to have something to experience. In order to have something to experience in terms of the playstation you need developers that can create that experience. The Back in the 70s and even today programmers had a saying that without software a computer is nothing more than a paper weight. This is in the same like as a human without a brain. Mircosoft is all about software. That is how there Empire was created. Microsoft’s first computer was the XBOX as opposed to popular belief that all of these PC’s today are Microsoft PCs. But it is software that makes the computer as important as it is today and for some reason this concept is what Sony has forgotten. Instead of 8 cores I could has used for if it meant that they would have had more money to spend on software development. This is where Linux will come in.

For those that dont know waht Linux is. It’s an Operating System (similar to how Windows is a Operating system) which allows the system to operate that is open to everyone from end user to development to create, modify, collaborate, etc. on software and linux itself to make it stronger and more reliable as a OS. And it’s free. Sony has offered the ability for customers to run Linux on the Playstation.

For Linux to use the playstation in such a way to be more than just effective Playstation has to use some of the ideas that Linux does to make there platform more user friendly. Below I have added some links to some current projects being worked on to offer more capabilities to the Playstation 3.

Microsoft has recently release a new search engine, Bing.com which is a revision to Microsoft Live search released early 200, which in itself was suppose to be a update to MSN search which was more a portal than a true search engine. All of these modification to there search initiatives were made solely to make themselves more marketable and relevant as a Internet presence and to take a bit of market-share from other major Search companies like Google and Yahoo.

For the past 10 years Microsoft has been striving to make this a reality and now I think they may actually have it. With Bing there is no real difference in the presentation of search results in comparison to Live Search, but they have seem to improve the types of results that are given. Below is an example.

I did a test search that I recently found on Digg. I wanted to see if Bing could find content that is usually blocked by other search engines and low and behold this is what I find.

As you can see, when looking for something that should be difficult to find if not search able at all Bing finds it with nopproblem. It’s still not a efficient search because the result that I wanted was on page three but none the less. It is here. So I figure either Microsoft doesn’t know about this issue or they have stopped caring about the exclusivity of there Product Keys. In either case I can do nothing but laugh and inform the public because this method of search will again be revised. Maybe microsoft will come out with a new efficient search in the Fall season and I have a new slogan to go along with it. Microsoft Search, now with less Suck.

So this post is mostly a test post for a new WordPress Plugin being used on the site. The plugin is Picasna which will offer a site gallery based on already upload photo albums from Google’s already popular Picasa 3 and Picasa Web. This plugin is no different than anyother with how to install and activate. The true trick is using the plugin which requires that I create a page link on a separate line like so…

The link must be a public URL from Picasa Web with this layout (http://picasaweb.google.com/username/photoalbum)

I take it that the URL is self explanatory because I take it my readers aren’t lost and can find more info on this topic if need be. for further assistance check the plugin homepage http://picasna.com/ .
